Checking component and wiring
Check clutch pedal sensor resistance between # 2 and # 4, for resistance values see Component specifications Specifications
Check cable between engine control module (ECM) # B15 and clutch pedal sensor # 2 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault and an open-circuit according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault
Check cable between # B4 and clutch pedal sensor # 4 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault and an open-circuit according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault
Remedy as necessary.
Other information:
- To connect the breakout box, Connecting the Breakout Box (ECM)
- With the ignition on and clutch pedal sensor connector disconnected, voltage between clutch pedal sensor # 2 and ground should be approximately 5 V.
- With the clutch pedal sensor connector disconnected, clutch pedal sensor # 4 (engine control module (ECM) side) should be connected to ground.

Verification
Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Ignition off.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Read clutch pedal movement by pressing down and releasing clutch pedal.
The value is between 60-70% when the clutch pedal is unaffected and 10-20% when the clutch pedal is fully depressed.
Do the movements correspond?
Yes - Testing Complete.
No - Continue below.
Fault-tracing information
The fault should have been detected and remedied. As this is not the case fault-tracing has failed. Exit fault tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
