Condition
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-928C is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in the signal from the cruise control lever.

Condition
- cruise control shut off

Possible source

Signal too high
- defective cruise control lever

Signal too low
- defective cruise control lever

Signal missing
- one of the signal cables from the cruise control switch is short-circuited to supply voltage
- defective cruise control lever.

Condition
- ETS warning lamp lit.
- cruise control does not function at all.
