Checking the status
Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be caused by other problems with the throttle unit. If diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) ECM-9150 or ECM-9160 are stored, fault trace and remedy these.

In certain specific cases, to determine if the fault is permanent or intermittent, the engine must be started and stopped up to three times (to force the fault to occur). Cancel when the symptoms appear. The symptom check must be carried out with the engine running.

Hint: Check for symptoms between each start of the engine. See the fault code information.

Note! The voltage supply must to the electronic throttle module must be interrupted to empty the memory between each start.

Hint: Stop the voltage supply to the electronic throttle module by removing the affected fuse or the connector, whichever is easiest depending on the engine variant. See the fuses In the integrated relay/fusebox in the engine compartment.

If the fault is permanent, read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) with the engine running.

Check whether diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) ECM-9150 or ECM-9160 are stored.

Is diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-9150 or ECM-9160 stored?
Yes - Testing Complete. Fault-trace other DTCs.
No - Continue below.

If any of the following software can be read off using VIDA it is OK! 9497924, 9497925 or 8627175
