Note: The role of the central electrical unit is the overall control of the communication network and a number of DTCs which indicate the fault. In case of communication problems the fault may exist in another part of the communication network.

- Read diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from the combined instrument panel (driver information module)

If there are diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for communication problems with the engine control module (ECM)/electronic throttle module stored in the driver information module (DIM), fault-trace accordingly.

The throttle unit registered a communication fault previously, but detected that this fault no longer exists.
