DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INFORMATION




Condition
The Control modules exchange information over a network via a standardized serial communication interface - CAN (Controller Area Network).

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-901A is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) registers an internal fault in communication with the throttle unit.

Condition
- CAN communication is disabled
- cruise control shut off
- fuel shut-off system which follows accelerator pedal (AP) position
- throttle closure when braking

Possible source
- contact resistance in terminals
- open-circuit in one or both signal cables
- one or both signal cables short-circuited to ground, voltage or each other
- interference m wiring
- defective engine control module (ECM)

Condition
- ETS warning lamp lit
- cruise control does not function at all
- engine judders under acceleration
- engine judders heavily after engine braking
- uneven idle
