SIGNAL FAULTY - PERMANENT FAULT
Checking the signal wire
Visually check the immobilizer connectors as described in Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault
Check the signal wire between engine control module B22 (B32) and immobilizer B5 (A35) for an open circuit as described in [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault, for a short circuit to ground as described in [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault, and for a short circuit to voltage supply as described in [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault

Did the car start?
Yes - Testing Complete.
No - Continue below.
Checking the components and programming
To achieve concordance with the VIN-code, the engine control module must be "reset" in the original car before the engine control module can operate.
Install the engine control module in the original car and reset the engine control module as per VIDA vehicle communication.
Install the engine control module in the car and start the engine.
The immobilizer will relay the VIN-code to the reset engine control module. The engine control module will learn the VIN-code and will only operate with this unique immobilizer.
