ECM-6120 ENGINE COOLING FAN RELAY, FAULTY SIGNAL
SIGNAL TOO LOW - INTERMITTENT FAULT
Checking component and wiring
Check power supply cable for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults, also check that the fuse has not blown.
Check cable between engine control module (ECM) # A6 (# A6) and engine cooling fan (FC) relay # IN2 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults
Remedy as necessary.
Other information
- Connecting the breakout box/accessing the control module Connecting the Breakout Box (ECM)
- For information about signals, see Diagnostic Parameters and Pinout Values. Signal Description, ME7, B5XX4T
- The engine cooling fan (FC) relay is supplied with power via fuse 11A/1
Fault-tracing information
If the fault is intermittent, do not verify fault-tracing if the fault does not recur.
