Signal Too High - Intermittent Fault

ECM-4020 FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR
SIGNAL TOO HIGH - INTERMITTENT FAULT

Checking cables

Check fuel tank pressure sensor connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults and loose connections according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults Check particularly for any damage.

Check ground lead between control module # B4 (# B14) and fuel tank pressure sensor connector # 1 for an intermittent open-circuit according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults

Check signal cable between control module # B31 (# B41) and fuel tank pressure sensor connector # 2 for an intermittent open-circuit according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults

Check power supply cable between control module # B10 (# B20) and fuel tank pressure sensor connector # 3 for an intermittent open-circuit according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults

Check signal cable between control module # B31 (# B41) and fuel tank pressure sensor connector # 2 for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults

Hint: Use a test screwdriver with at least a 3W bulb to determine if the cable is short-circuited to supply voltage.
