Signal Missing - Intermittent Fault

Checking connector and wiring



Check engine speed (RPM) sensor connector for intermittent contact resistance and oxidation according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults

Check the signal cable between the engine speed (RPM) sensor # 1 and the Engine Control Module (ECM) # A48 (# A48) and between the engine speed (RPM) sensor # 2 and the Engine Control Module (ECM) # A66 (# B6) for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to [1][2]Checking Wiring and Terminals. Check the carrier plate, search for damage and other defects.
