ECM-1100 OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE SENSOR
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INFORMATION




Condition
If the control module receives a signal from the outside temperature sensor corresponding to a temperature lower than -39°C (-38.2°F) (low signal) or higher than +129°C (264.2°F) (high signal) the control module interprets it as a fault and ECM-1100 is stored.

Condition
The values from the engine intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.

Possible source
Signal too high:
- short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- faulty outside temperature sensor
Signal too low:
- open-circuit in the signal cable
- short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- faulty outside temperature sensor
- contact resistance in terminals

Condition
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit
