Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.

- Ignition off
- Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
- Start engine.
- Turn the air distribution selector to all positions so that the damper motor is activated.
- Ignition off

Read off Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in MCC control module

With ignition off all stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), with the exception of MCC 5-1-2 in the MCC control module are erased. Turning ON the ignition will initiate a self-diagnostic sequence in the control module and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be reset if there is still a fault.
