Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Condition
The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) signal from the engine control module (ECM) is a pulsed signal, the frequency of which changes with temperature. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) ECC-135 is stored if the control module detects that the pulses from the engine control module (ECM) are missing for more than approximately 6 seconds when the engine is running.
Condition
The control module adopts a substitute value corresponding to 87.5 °C.
Possible source
- Short-circuit to supply voltage or ground in the signal cable.
- Open-circuit in signal cable
- Contact resistance in terminals.
- Defective Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor.
Condition
- The orange indicator LED in the REC and Air Conditioning (A/C) buttons flashes for approximately 20 seconds.
