Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.

- Ignition off.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Read off the temperature in the passenger compartment. Check that the temperature reading obtained is correct. Compare with the actual air temperature. If the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) stored is a permanent fault a substitute value of approximately 22 °C (71.6 °F) will be displayed.
