Checking Components and Cables

Checking Components And Cables

Check outside temperature sensor resistance. For resistance values, see ECC electrical specifications.

Check cable between ECC control module #A19 and outside temperature sensor terminal 2 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults and a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults. Checking Wiring and Terminals

Check cable between control module #A22 and outside temperature sensor terminal 4 for an open circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults and a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults. Checking Wiring and Terminals

Hint: A short-circuit on the ground lead can be caused by a short-circuit to supply voltage. Always check the signal cable for this fault cause as well.

Remedy as necessary.
