ABS-0066

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INFORMATION

Condition

On cars with anti-spin/TRACS, the control module registers brake usage and calculates front wheel brake discs temperatures. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ABS- 0066 is stored if the calculated temperature exceeds 450°C (842°F).

Condition

- ABS function not affected

- TRACS system blocked (cars equipped with TRACS only).

- Anti-spin function blocked.

Possible source

- Excessive TRACS control (cars equipped with TRACS only).

- Anti-spin control in action too long.

- Brakes on too long (brakes have been used so much that brake disc temperature has become too high).

Condition

- ABS waming lamp lit.

- Anti-spin warning lamp lit.

- No TRACS system (cars equipped with TRACS only).

- Anti-spin does not function.


Note! The anti-spin/TRACS function is deactivated until brake disc temperature is below 350°C (662°F).
