Checking Pressure - II




Checking Pressure







- Connect filling point low pressure side (blue hose) to service valve.
- Start the engine and allow to run 1500 - 1600 rpm.
- Place blower fan switch in the lowest active manual position.
- Place Air Conditioning (A/C) switch to on.
- Place REC-switch to on.

Check that the compressor switches in and out within the specified values:
The compressor should switch to at 295 - 325 kPa (42.8 - 47.1 psi).
The compressor should switch out at 150 - 170 kPa (21.8 - 24.7 psi).

The following alternatives are available:
- 1. The compressor runs constantly above 325 kPa (47.1 psi)
- 2. The compressor switches on too high (above 325 kPa (47.1 psi)), or off too low (under 150 kPa (21.8 psi)).
- 3. The compressor switches in and out within the specified values.
- 4. The compressor switches in and out within the specified values, but is shut off for a long period of time.
