Preparations
- Get measurement tool set 999 5418.
- Remove brake caliper and brake pads as per [QQQA2 - QQQA4 or RRRA2 - RRRA5]. Then continue as below.
Note Mark brake disc up against hub so disc can return to its old position when installing.

- Clean hub flange carefully. Remove rust with steel blade and steel brush.

Installing measurement equipment
- Install measurement equipment as per illustration. Illustration shows testing front.
- Front: Use M8 bolts, washers and nuts in bolt set 999 5507 when installing measurement tool bracket to front brake caliper mounting hole.
Note! Make sure that bracket is not lying against driveshaft gaiter, (front only).
- Rear: Use the bolts included in the measurement tool set when installing measurement tool bracket to the rear brake caliper mounting hole.

Measuring lateral run-out
- Put the test gauge point against the hub flange as in the illustration.
- Rotate hub gently. Use a wheel wrench as an aid on the front hub.
Note! Illustration shows testing front.
- Note test gauge run-out. Hub lateral run-out must not exceed 0.02 mm (0.00079").
- Replace hub if maximum lateral run-out exceeds 0.020 mm (0.00079").
Front: Replace hub
Rear:Replace hub

Finishing
- Install brake disc on hub, lining up marks. Tighten locating pin and bolt to 8 Nm (6 ft lb).
- Go to Front Brake Disc, Replacement [QQQA7 - QQQA8] or Rear Brake Disc, Replacement [RRRA8 - RRRA9]. [1][2]Procedures
