Carry out fault-tracing on the control panel according to the table of symptoms.

Checking activation
- Ignition off.
Adjust the seat for legroom and the rear and front edges of the seat in both directions with the control buttons.
Do the seat adjustment functions work?
Yes - No Fault Found
No - Checking the control module

Checking the control module
- Ignition off.
- Remove the seat from the car according to Lifting the power seat in and out Lifting the Power Seat In and Out.
- Connect wiring to the seat.
Connect a voltmeter between ground and the relevant terminal in the black 14-pin connector C for the function as follows:
- C:1, adjusting the legroom, forward
- C:2, adjusting the legroom, backward
- C:3, seat rear edge adjustment, upward
- C:4, seat rear edge adjustment, downward
- C:5, seat front edge adjustment, upward
- C:6, seat front edge adjustment, downward
Activate function with control buttons.
The voltmeter should read battery voltage when the function is activated.
OK - Checking the engine
Not OK - Replacing the component

Try a new control module according to Control module Control Module.

- Remove motor according to Front-rear adjustment motor (center motor) Front-Rear Adjustment Motor (Center Motor) , Front height adjustment motor (front motor) Front Height Adjustment Motor (Front Motor) or Rear height adjustment motor (rear motor) Rear Height Adjustment Motor (Rear Motor).
Activate the motor with the control buttons.
Does the motor function?
Yes - Checking drive gear
No - Replacing the component

Try a new motor according to Front-rear adjustment motor (center motor) Front-Rear Adjustment Motor (Center Motor) , Front height adjustment motor (front motor) Front Height Adjustment Motor (Front Motor) or Rear height adjustment motor (rear motor) Rear Height Adjustment Motor (Rear Motor).
Continue - Verification

Checking drive gear
- Ignition off.
- Wiring according to connected.
- Remove drive gear according to Power seat gear Power Seat Gear.
- Install the motor on the drive gear.
Activate the motor with the control buttons.
Check that the mechanism in the seat frame does not stick.

Yes - No Fault Found
No - Replacing the component

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:
- Ignition OFF.
- Reinstall components, connectors etc.
Run the power seat adjustment forward/backward and for height adjustment front edge/rear edge in both directions using the control buttons.
