Wiper Motor Linkage: Adjustments

CA11 Method if Link Arms are Out of Position:





- Remove wiper unit according to CA1 - CA6. Service and Repair
- Slacken off nut to the crank link on the wiper motor spindle.
- Adjust position of crank link so that it is parallel with the longer spindle.
- Press down the crank link onto the motor spindle splines. Apply thread sealant P/N 1161053-2 to the motor spindle thread.
- Tighten nut to 20 Nm (14.8 ft.lbs). Use a 20 mm (0.79 in) fixed wrench as a counterhold on the crank link when tightening the nut.
- Install wiper unit according to CA7 - CA10. Service and Repair

Carry out a function test and adjust if necessary until the unit is operating satisfactorily.
