Replacing Left-Hand Side Headlamp Wiper Motor


NOTE: Reinstall the special suppression kit if installed.

Removing:

CC1 Removing Wiper Arm, Headlamp And Air Baffle:





- Ignition off.
- Disconnect wiper motor connector.

Remove:
- wiper arm.
- headlamp and side lights. Service and Repair
- air baffle between radiator and spoiler.
- wiper motor screws.

CC2 Removing Wiper Motor:





Remove:
- left radiator unit screw completely and slacken off the right screw so that the unit can be moved back.

Push the radiator backwards while at the same time pulling out the wiper motor from inside the engine compartment.

Installing:

CC3 Installing Wiper Motor, Air Baffle, Headlamp and Wiper Arm:





Install:
- wiper motor.
Screw radiator into place.
- wiper motor screws.
Connect wiper motor connector.
- air baffle between radiator and spoiler.
- headlamp and side lights.
- wiper arm.

NOTE: Ensure that no cables or hoses are trapped.

CC4 Adjusting Wiper Arm:





NOTE: Before the wiper arms are installed, check that the wiper motor has parked and that the washer hose is not trapped.

- Install nut loosely.
- Adjust headlamp wiper so that the wiper blade is just pressed against the top of the stop. Tighten to 4 Nm (2.9 ft.lbs).
- - Test headlamp wiper function.

Carry out headlamp alignment. Adjustments
