Condition




There are three selector shafts in the transmission. One for gears 1-2, one for gears 3-4 and one for gear 5-R. If gear changing between any of these gears seems stiff it is probable that a selector shaft is deformed. It is also possible that two or three selector shafts could be deformed.

- Deformed selector shaft
- Gear is engaged too forcefully.

Fault symptom[s]
- Gear changing is stiff on one or more gears.
