Gaiter, gear selector, replacement

Removal

Removing the gear selector knob
Remove the gear selector knob in accordance with: Gear selector knob, replacing Gear Selector Knob, Replacing (standard) or in accordance with: Gear selector knob, Geartronic, replacement Gear Selector Knob, Geartronic, Replacement (geartronic).

Removing the panel




Move the gear selector/gear lever to a rear position.
Detach the panel at the rear edge using a weatherstrip tool.
Detach the panel carefully at the front edge.

Removing the gaiter from the top panel




Press out the catches, x4, from the top panel.
Remove the gaiter.

Installation

Installing the gaiter
Install the gaiter.
Press the gaiter's catches into the top panel.

Installing the top panel
Guide the panel in the front edge, bend it down and press it securely in the center console.

Installing the gear selector knob
Install the gear selector knob in accordance with: Gear selector knob, replacing Gear Selector Knob, Replacing (standard) or in accordance with: Gear selector knob, Geartronic, replacement Gear Selector Knob, Geartronic, Replacement (geartronic).
