ELECTRIC LIFT SWITCH CONVERTIBLE REAR TUNNEL PANEL, REPLACEMENT

Removal of the switch

Ignition off.

Carefully insert a flexible strip or a radio screwdriver between the panel and the side edge of the switch, then carefully pry it upwards until the switch can be pulled with your fingers.

Note!
Use protection to prevent damage to the surrounding panel.

Pull out the switch.

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the switch.

Installtion of the switch

Connect the connector Test the switch before installing it.

Install the switch and press it firmly into the panel.

^ Test the switch.

Preparation, replacing the switch.

Ignition off.

Remove:

- seat cushion. See other manual: Rear seat Sect. 8(82-86, 88), Convertible C70 exterior equipment.

- the screws at the back edge of the tunnel console.

- the screws below the opening in the storage compartment in the centre of the console.

- the ashtray.

Removal of the switch.

Carefully lift the rear edge of the tunnel console.

Put your hand through the ashtray opening or under the tunnel console.

Push out the switch.

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the switch.

Installation of the switch.

Connect the connector. Test the switch before installing it.

Install:

- the switch, press if firmly into the panel.

- the ashtray.

- the screws below the opening in the storage compartment in the centre of the console

- the screws at the back edge of the tunnel console seat cushion. See other manual: Rear seat Sect. 8(82-86, 88), Convertible C70 exterior equipment.

^ Test the switch.

Replacing the indicator bulb in the switch

Test the switch to make sure that it functions correctly and that only the bulb has failed.

Ignition off.

Remove the switch using a flat screwdriver.

caution!
There is a slot for the screwdriver on the lower edge of the switch.

Note!
Use protection to prevent damage to the surrounding panel.

Remove the indicator bulb by turning the bulb counterclockwise (with screwdriver) and pulling it out.

Replace the indicator bulb.

Install in reverse order.

^ Test the bulb.
