REPLACING TAIL LAMPS1
Location of bulbs
The illustration shows the location of the bulbs on the right-hand side. The same applies to the left-hand side but in reverse.
The bulbs have the following functions:
1 + 4 = Parking lamp/Tail lamp
2 = Back-up (reversing) lamp
3 = Fog tail lamp, only on the left-hand side
5 = Turn signal lamps
6 = Stop (brake) lamp.

Replacing tail lamp bulbs
Ignition off.
Open tail lamp cover.
Undo wingnut and remove bulb holder.
Replace the faulty bulb.
Assemble in reverse order.
^ Test all bulbs.

Replacing tail lamp assembly
Open tail lamp cover.
Slacken of the panel in front of tail lamp.
Detach connector for tail lamp.
Remove the four nuts holding the tail lamp see illustration.
Pull light straight back.
Assemble in reverse order.
Note!
Check seal and fit when reassembling.
^ Test all bulbs.
REPLACING HIGH LEVEL STOP (BRAKE) LAMP

Removing
Remove:
- rear seat. See other manual: Rear seat Interior, exterior C70.
- parcel shelf. See other manual: Parcel shelf, Interior exterior C70.
- stop (brake) lamp.
Replace stop (brake) lamp.
Install in reverse order.
^ Check that bulb lights.
HIGH LEVEL CONVERTIBLE BRAKE LAMP, REPLACEMENT

Replacement of brake lamp holder
Ignition off.
Remove:
- the connector and clip for the brake light.
- 3 screws.
- the exterior cover sealing strip. See other manual: Replacement of sealing strips Sect. 8(82-86, 88), Convertible C70 exterior equipment.
Pull the brake lamp holder backwards.
Replace brake lamp holder.
Connect in reverse order.
Assemble the brake light holder with the edges aligned with the body.
REPLACING LICENSE PLATE LIGHTING

Replacing bulb and lens
Ignition off.
Remove the two screws holding lamp lens.
Carefully remove lamp lens.
Replace bulb/lamp housing.
Install in reverse order.
^ Test the bulb.
Caution!
Do not tighten screws too hard as the lenses are made of plastic.
REPLACING CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHTING

Replacing bulb and lens
Ignition off.
Carefully remove lens with a flat screwdriver.
Replace lamp/lens.
Reinstall in reverse order.
^ Test the bulb.
REPLACING BULB IN REAR READING LAMP

Carefully remove lens with a flat screwdriver.
Replace lamp/lens.

CONVERTIBLE REAR READING LAMP, BULB REPLACEMENT

Replacing a bulb
Ignition off.
Remove:
- rear seat. See other manual: Rear seat Sect. 8(82-86, 88), Convertible C70 exterior equipment.
- panel roll bar cartridge. See other manual: Roll bar panel Sect. 8(82-86, 88), Convertible C70 exterior equipment.
- rear side panel. See other manual: Panels Sect. 8(82-86, 88), Convertible C70 exterior equipment.
Bulb replacement:
Press out the bulb holder from the panel.
Replace the bulb.
Install in reverse order.
^ Test the bulb.
INTERIOR BULB IN CONVERTIBLE REAR VIEW MIRROR, REPLACEMENT

Replacing a bulb
Ignition off.
Loosen the lamp body using a flat screwdriver.
Pull out the lamp body and connector.
Replace the bulb/lamp lens.
Connect in reverse order.
^ Test the bulb.
CONVERTIBLE MAKE-UP MIRROR, BULB REPLACEMENT

Ignition off.
Loosen the lamp lens using a flat screwdriver.
Replace bulb/lamp lens.
Install in reverse order.
^ Test the bulb.
CONVERTIBLE SEAT BELT REMINDER, BULB REPLACEMENT

Replacing a bulb.
Ignition off.
Remove:
- the lamp lens from the make-up mirrors using a flat screwdriver.
- the sun visor See other manual: Headlining Sect. 8(82-86, 88), Convertible C70 exterior equipment.
- the connectors from the make-up mirror bulbs.
- the connector from the seat belt warning bulbs the panel.
Replace bulb.
Install in reverse order.
^ Test the bulb.
REPLACEMENT OF SIDE WINDOW CONTROL UNIT

Replacement of side window control unit
Remove 1 screw from under the steering column.
Loosen the connector to the courtesy light.
Remove 2 clips from the control unit.
Remove 3 connectors from the control unit.
Replace the control unit.
Install/connect in reverse order.
^ Test the side-window operation.
