Replacing passenger compartment temperature sensor (ECC)
Removing passenger compartment temperature sensor (ECC)
- Ignition off.
- Remove radio.
- Insert your hand through the radio compartment and remove the ECC control module by pressing it out from behind.
- Insert your hand through the control module opening and remove the switch next to the passenger compartment temperature sensor by pressing it out from behind.
- Insert your hand through the control module opening and remove the passenger compartment temperature sensor by pressing its catches together with your fingers and pulling it out backwards.
Note! Note the position of the passenger compartment temperature sensor before removing it.
- Disconnect the passenger compartment temperature sensor connector.
Installing passenger compartment temperature sensor (ECC)
- Connect passenger compartment temperature sensor connector.
- Insert your hand through the control module opening and install the passenger compartment temperature sensor. Carefully turn the sensor so that it lines up with the holder guide channels, press it in and listen for a click when the sensor catches engage in the holder. Feel to check that both catches have engaged and that the sensor is secure.
Note! To help, look through the switch opening beside the passenger compartment temperature sensor and compare the current position of the sensor with its position before it was removed.
- Install switch beside the passenger compartment temperature sensor.
- Install ECC control module.
- Install radio.
Finishing:
- Check that the fault has been remedied by reading off the passenger compartment temperature.
- Check that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) were been stored during repair work.
