Replacing the control module, new system

Preparations
- The customer stored settings should be read off and noted before the control module is replaced. This is so that the new control module can be programmed in the same way as the old one.

The new RTI system is integrated in the CD ROM player. The new CD ROM player has two LEDs. These are on each side of the tray for CDs. The intermediate stage is positioned where the control module was previously.

Removing the CD-ROM player




- Ignition off.

Remove:
- The TMC receiver. See Replacing TMC receiver Replacing TMC Receiver
- The control module from the bracket.

Installing the control module

Install:
- The control module on the bracket
- The TMC receiver in reverse order . See Replacing TMC receiver Replacing TMC Receiver.

Finishing
- Check that the system appears to be working normally
- Check that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have been stored during the repair.
