Reading Off Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
HINT: If the starter motor does not run, the fault may be due to an internal fault in the gear-shift position sensor. In certain cases the transmission control module (TCM) has been unable to store diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) because not all the conditions have been met.
- Ignition on or ignition switch position III for at least five seconds
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
Fault trace any stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) before beginning this fault-tracing. Use the VIDA symptom input and select the same symptom as for this fault-tracing.
