Replacing the flame trap seals
Note! As the illustrations in the information are used for different model years and / or models, certain variations may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.
Remove the intake manifold
Remove the intake manifold according to operation Replacing intake manifold .
Remove:
Remove:
- the hose from the flame trap
- the intake manifold bracket
- the two screws for the flame trap
- the oil trap.
Check that the flame trap seal surfaces are clean.
Install the flame trap
Connect the two flame trap hoses to the cylinder block connecting sleeves.
Install a new hose clamp for the upper hose. Tighten the lower clamp.
Install and tighten the screws to 20 Nm (15 lb.ft) .
Install the intake manifold bracket loosely with the lower screw.

Check
Check the engine function by test driving the car.
Wipe the steering wheel and gear selector lever clean.
