Replacing the EVAP canister

Removing the EVAP canister









Remove:
- connector / outlet. Press in the catch and pull
- connector / inlet. Press in the catch and pull
- outlet hose from the EVAP canister bracket.

Removing the clamp on the air from the EVAP canister shut-off valve:
- squeeze the clamp with a pipe wrench. Hold in place
- pry apart with a small screwdriver.
- air hose from the EVAP canister shut-off valve
- rubber mounting with the EVAP canister shut-off valve from the EVAP canister bracket
- front and rear screw (2).

Remove:
- the nut on the bracket at the fuel filter.





Remove:
- the EVAP canister with its bracket
- Slacken off the screw on the underside of the bracket (Torx 25).
- the EVAP canister from the bracket.

Installing the EVAP canister
In reverse order.
Tighten the bolts. Tighten bolts to 25 Nm. Tighten nuts to 20 Nm.

Ensure that the EVAP canister:
- engages in the catch at the front
- engages in its groove in the bracket.

Note! Use a new screw clip. See replacement parts catalogue. Check that the outlet / inlet connector catches engage.
