Checking starting and idling
- Start engine
Check that it starts normally
Check that the idling is even and that the engine speed is correct (engine at operating temperature)
Increase the engine speed
Check that it runs evenly and that no misfiring occurs
Checking driveability
Hint: If a test drive is carried out during verification and no fault is discovered, no further test drive needs to be made during the final check.
Test drive the car.
Drive the car at idle, drive normally and then at high engine load. Let the car operate in these phases for a few minutes.
Depress the accelerator pedal (AP) to the floor a few times.
Check the engine runs normally and no shuddering or other driveability problems occur.
