Description of Parameters
Description of parameters
Throttle position sensor, potentiometer 1 and 2, value
Electronic throttle module (ETM) has two internal throttle position sensors(potentiometers). Electronic throttle module (ETM) calculates the throttle's position using the two internal position sensors' (potentiometers') signal. The value shows the throttle position sensor's current position.
Measurement range: 0-100 °.
Approx. 5 ° = Throttle position sensor's position at throttle closed.
Approx. 85 ° = Throttle position sensor's position at throttle wide open.
Throttle unit requested position, value
Engine control module (ECM) sends a request to Electronic throttle module (ETM) via CAN-net for a certain throttle opening. The value shows the requested throttle opening.
Measurement range: 0-100 %.
Approx. 0 % = Request closed throttle.
Approx. 100 % = Request wide open throttle.
Throttle position, value
Electronic throttle module (ETM) performs the request from Engine control module (ECM) for a certain throttle opening. The value shows the throttle's current opening.
Measurement range: 0-100 %.
Approx. 0 % = Closed throttle.
Approx. 100 % = Wide open throttle.
Accelerator pedal, PWM (via ETM), value
PWM-signal from accelerator pedal position sensor to Electronic throttle module (ETM) (via Engine control module (ECM)). Then the signal passes on the CAN-net from Electronic throttle module (ETM) to Engine control module (ECM). The value shows how Electronic throttle module (ETM) interprets the accelerator pedal's position.
Measurement range: 0-100 %.
Approx. 6 % = Accelerator pedal completely released.
Approximately 88 %= the accelerator pedal (AP) completely depressed.
