Replacement of Other Components

REPLACING REAR BULB FAILURE WARNING SENSOR

Removing

The bulb failure warning sensor for the rear lighting is located in the cargo compartment behind the box containing the cargo compartment lighting.

Ignition off.

Remove:

- the box with the cargo compartment lighting.

- pull the bulb failure warning sensor backwards.

Disconnect connector.

Replace bulb failure warning sensor.

Assemble in reverse order.

Replacing the bulb failure warning sensor

The warning sensor is installed in the luggage compartment behind the side panel and amplifier console.

Ignition off.

Remove:

- the left side panel in the luggage compartment.

- the luggage compartment lighting. Replacing cargo compartment lighting page.

- the earth cable from the aerial.

- the screw on the aerial console.

- the screws on the amplifier console (6 screws).

Carefully pull the aerial unit backwards and out of its top bracket.

Bend the protective plate in towards the luggage compartment.

Pull out the warning sensor and connector.

Replace the warning sensor.

Install in reverse order.

^ Test the warning sensor.

Removing

The antenna amplifier is located in the cargo compartment, beside the right tail lamp.

Ignition off.

Open the tail lamp cover where the antenna amplifier is located.

Remove:

- antenna amplifier screw.

- connector.

Remove antenna amplifier.

Install in reverse order.

Checking antenna amplifier

Switch on radio and tune in to a weak station. Turn up the volume and go to the back of the car. Listen to the radio while disconnecting the power supply. The station should sound weaker or there should be more interference.
