Replacement of cable plate

Preparations

Note! Before replacing the cable plate all the program data should be read from the cable plate. This is done in VIDA vehicle communication. After replacement the program data should be written to the new cable plate.

Removing the cable plate





Remove:
- cooling plate according to Replacing heat sink Replacing Heat Sink.
- tachometer, temperature and fuel gauges, speedometer according to Replacing tachometer, temperature gauge, fuel gauge and speedometer Replacing Tachometer, Temperature Gauge, Fuel Gauge and Speedometer.
- screws for the cable plate.
- the cable plate, note the attaching hooks.

Ordering software

Note! Order software before the cable plate is installed.

Order the applicable software. Programming and Relearning

Programming the cable plate
The new cable plate shall be programmed with customer parameters. Finish by checking that no diagnostic trouble codes have been generated during replacement. Both programming of cable plate and reading off of diagnostic trouble codes are found under VIDA car communication.
