DA1 Read the information in the Heating and Air Conditioning System

DA2 Read the section Fault-tracing ECC diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
- For ECC, read How to Display and Read Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
- If communication with the ECC control module cannot be established, refer to Diagnosis By Symptom, Checking communication with ECC control module.
Read off and note down the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
Have diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)) been stored?
Yes: Go to DA3
No: Go to DA5
DA3 DTC table
- Remedy diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) according to instructions and then erase diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
- Test drive the car.
- Run all functions in the climate control unit. Pay careful attention to any symptoms.
Have one or more diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) been stored again?
Yes: Go to DA3
No: Go to DA4
DA4 No diagnostic trouble code (DTC) stored
Do the fault symptoms persist?
Yes: Go to DA5
No: Go to DA7
DA5 Table of symptoms
- Select the appropriate fault symptoms and follow the relevant instructions.
- Test drive the car.
- Run all functions in the climate control unit. Pay careful attention to any symptoms.
Are the fault symptoms still present?
Yes: Go to DA6
No: Go to DA7
DA6 Breakout box and parameter tables
- For climate control with ECC, connect breakout box according to QQQA. Connection of breakout box and measure all terminals according to RRRA. Signal specification
Then continue with: DA7
DA7 Final check
- Final work after fault-tracing/repairs.
- Check that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have been stored in other systems during fault-tracing.
- Erase any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) before the car is returned to the customer.
Then Fault is corrected.
