Checking ground terminal








- Ignition off.
- MCC control module disconnected.
- Switch off all equipment that takes power from the battery (courtesy lighting, radio etc).
- Connect breakout box according to Connection of breakout box MCC Connection of Breakout Box MCC.
Connect an ohmmeter between battery negative terminal and control module #B16 (#46) on the breakout box.









The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 ohms

OK - Verification

Not OK - Checking for an open-circuit

Check the cable between MCC control module #B16 and ground terminal for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied:








- Ignition off.
- MCC control module disconnected.
- Switch off all equipment that takes power from the battery (courtesy lighting, radio etc).
Connect an ohmmeter between battery negative terminal and control module #B16 (#46) on the breakout box.









The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 ohms.
