Replacing condenser
Before starting work on the condenser

Note! Read the instructions covering slow and quick leaks.
Note! When replacing a condenser always replace O-rings in pipes and quick-release connectors.
Note! Always plug pipes and connectors when working on the climate control system.
Replacing condenser
Removing condenser
- Read Before starting work on the condenser.
- Disconnect battery negative lead.
- Drain the system of refrigerant, according to Refrigerant, overview Refrigerant, Overview and Emptying/vacuum pumping/filling with refrigerant Emptying/Vacuum Pumping/Filling With Refrigerant.
- Remove the intake hose and intermediate piece between the fan shroud nozzle and filter.
- Remove control module box fresh air intake.
- Disconnect relays from the relay base.
- Remove relay base and spacer washers.
- Slacken off the fan shroud and fold backward towards the engine.
- Raise the car.
- Remove air baffle between spoiler and frame member.
- Slacken off the air conditioning aggregate screws so that it can be lowered and angled in towards the engine.
- Lower car.
- Slacken off the upper condenser screws.
- Remove cover plate.
- Raise the car.
- Disconnect pipe couplings from condenser.
- Slacken off the lower condenser screws.
- Remove condenser.
Installing condenser
In reverse order.
Tighten to 25±6 Nm.
