Replacing outside temperature sensor and glow plugs

Removing

Preparations
Move heater to service position according to Moving the heater to its service position Procedures , when replacing glow plugs and early versions of outside temperature sensor.

Removing components





Outside temperature sensor:

Remove:
- outside temperature sensor connector.
- outside temperature sensor from mounting.

Glow plug:

Remove:
- glow plug electrical terminal.
- glow plug.

Installing

Installing components

Outside temperature sensor:

Reinstall outside temperature sensor in mounting.
Reconnect outside temperature sensor connector.





Glow plug:
Screw glow plug in, tighten to 15 Nm .
Reconnect glow plug electrical terminal
Reinstall heater according to Moving the heater to its service position Procedures.
Check so that no DTCs are stored during the repair.
