Replacing Hose Kit






Replacing hose kit

The coolant hoses between engine and heater consists of a hose kit.
When replacing hoses the whole kit and new hose clamps should be used.

Removing air cleaner (ACL) housing





Remove:
- fresh air intake (1).

Remove:
- rubber lead (2) carefully from the pipe (3).
- hose clamp (4) and remove intake hose from air cleaner (ACL) housing (5).
- air cleaner (ACL) housing and turn to one side.

Removing air baffle





Remove:
- air baffle

Draining engine coolant




Drain engine coolant into a container. Leave the container in place.

Removing coolant hoses





Remove:
- Engine coolant hoses

Note! There is still some coolant in the system.

Removing locking




Squeeze the hose shut (1) and disconnect the hose from the firewall.

Remove:
- the locking from the hose and reinstall on the firewall.

Install hose clamps





Install:
- new hose clamps on the hoses, all except hose (4).
The hoses are located in the engine compartment:
- hose (1) connects to the heater
- hose (2) connects to water pump
- hose (3) connects to the engine
- hose (4) connects to the firewall.

Install hoses




Connect hoses (3) to the engine.

Connect hoses




Connect hose (1) to heater and hose (2) to the water pump, adjust so that they do not rub against sharp edges or similar.
Tighten hose clamps until the screw heads break off.

Connect hose




Connect hose to firewall. A click is heard when locking (1) occurs.
Adjust the hose so that it does not rub against sharp edges or similar

Installing air cleaner (ACL) housing





Install:
- air cleaner (ACL) housing (5).
- intake hose (4).
- hose clamp (4).
- rubber hose (2).
- fresh air intake (1).

Installing air baffle




Shut draining stopcock.
Fill with coolant from the container.
Start engine and top up engine coolant level if necessary.
With manual heater:
Check that the heater control is on maximum heat.
Test start the heater and check for leakage.
Top up coolant if necessary.

Note! Carefully clean up any glycol spillage.

Install:
- air baffle
