Front Brake Hose



Replacing front brake hoses

Removal

Collect the brake fluid
See Replacing the front brake calipers.

Remove the brake hose





Remove:
- the brake hose from the brake pipe (1)
- the brake hose from the brake caliper (2).

Installation

Install the brake hose





Install:
- the brake hose to the caliper (1). Tighten the brake hose. Tighten to 18 Nm
- brake pipe in the hose (2). Tighten the pipe. Tighten to 16 Nm

Check the brake hose
Ensure that the brake hose is not twisted. If necessary alter the hose at the other end (brake pipe end).

Note: If the brake hose is twisted it may rub against the tire, rim or wheel arch. This could cause the circuit to fail.

Fill and bleed the brake system
