AB E. Volvo Scan Tool (VST)

General

The Scan Tool (VST) and memory cassette make it possible to communicate with the car's various control modules. By connecting the Volvo Scan Tool (VST) to the data link connector (DLC), diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can be read and erased, components and functions can be activated, output and input signals can be read, functions reset etc.





Connecting the Volvo Scan Tool (VST)

- Ignition off.

- Install the correct memory cassette.

- Connect the Volvo Scan Tool (VST) with wiring to the data link connector (DLC) located under the center console cover.

- Ignition on (position II).

- Power up the Volvo Scan Tool (VST).

- Select language, car and group of functions using the menu.

- Select system using the menu.

- When the Volvo Scan Tool (VST) has established contact with the system a menu is displayed. Choose function.
