Noise reduction - glove compartment

Noise from glove compartment lid due to excessive play at lock




Cut 2 pieces of tape (10x10 mm), P/N 6812838-8.
Install pieces of tape on the cover facing the rubber stops

Hint: The rubber stops indicate the markings in the cover which can be used as markings for locating the pieces of tape.

Noise from glove compartment lid stop arm




Install a piece of tape (A), P/N 679904- 3 on the stop arm nearest the center console as illustrated.
The tape should also cover the sides of the stop.

Squeaking from glove compartment lighting




Remove the glove compartment lamp cover.
Apply grease, P/N. 1161417- 9 on the return spring for the glove compartment lamp switch.
