Replacing cable in backrest

Preparations:

Make a note of radio code if anti-theft coded radio is installed.

Remove:






- battery negative lead (disconnect).
- seat from the car. See "Replacing Seat Assembly."
- backrest upholstery. See "Backrest Upholstery, Replacement."
- protective pad.
- tie strap from padding.

Removing Cable:






- Press in the catch securing the cable in the folding mechanism.

CAUTION: Check the routing of the cable in the backrest before removal in order to reinstall in the same way.

- Disconnect the cable from the folding mechanism.
- Unhook the cable ends from seat and replace the cable.
- Assemble in reverse order.
