Wind Blocker



















Wind Blocker

Points to apply to cars manufactured from week 35, 2001 inclusive and onwards. These points also apply as final points for other models




- Fold out the lateral supports (1) on the window blocker
- Slide out the latch (2) in the channel on the lateral support, underneath the window blocker, until a click is heard
- Repeat on the other side.


Applies to the left and right-hand sides




- Slide the passenger seat forward. Fold the backrest forward.


Applies to the left and right-hand sides




- Slide the supports (1) for the window blocker in under the head restraint so that they rest against the upper edge of the backrest.

Note! Do not damage the upholstery.

- Adjust the front edge of the window blocker so that the latch (2) locates in the fastener (3) on the side panel until a click is heard.

Note! If the latch does not click or the window blocker is loose - adjust the adjustment screw on the end of the latch so that the O-ring on the latch is secured in the hole in the fastener.

- Fold up the window blocker
- Reposition the passenger seat.

Points to only apply to cars manufactured up to week 34, 2001 inclusive




- Operate the roof up or down so that the hatch for the roof storage space is open.





- Move the front seats forwards as far as possible. Fold the backrests forwards.





- Remove the seat cushion in the rear seat by pulling it straight upward at the front edge
- Place the seat cushion to one side.


Applies to the left and right-hand sides




- Ensure that the hatch (1) on the side panel is not locked.
Activate the switch for the roof if the hatch is locked
- Disconnect the mechanism for the side panel hatch. First press down the retaining clip (2). Then pull out the link arm (3).

- Remove the cover (2) and screw in the seat belt panel (3)
- Remove the screw (4) at the top edge of the side panel
- Fold the seat belt buckle (5) forward
- Carefully press the panel in the direction of the arrows until the two clips on the inside of the panel release.

Note! Do not damage the panel and its components.

- Carefully pull out the panel from the body side. Position a shim between the side panel and the car body to access the reverse of the side panel.

Note! When removing the old fastener hold the inner section (1) of the panel mounting so that it does not fall between the panel and the car body.

- Remove the old fastener with the screws and clip. The mounting socket and clip will not be reused. Tighten the new fastener (from the kit) using the existing screw.

Note! There are separate fasteners in the kit for the right and left-hand sides.


Applies to the left and right-hand sides
- Reinstall the panel. Ensure that the two clips at the front edge are secured properly
- Press the moulding into the rear edge / upper edge of the panel
- Tighten the panel using the screw at the front edge / upper edge
- Reinstall the seat belt panel. Tighten the panel using the screw. Reinstall the cover
- Fold the link arm back into the mounting for the mechanism for the side panel hatch
- Reinstall the seat cushion
- Reposition the front seats
- Reassemble the cover for the roof storage space
