Cover plate striker, replacing plastic sleeve
Background:
This service bulletin describes how to install a plastic sleeve to the lock striker on the cover plate.

Raising cover
Raise the cover with the button on the dash as per illustration.

Mark position
Hint:
The angled end of the striker has a recess which runs in the slot of the bracket.
Mark position of striker on the bracket.
Turn adjustment nut (1) counter clockwise till the end of the striker is positioned in the enlarged end of the slot, as per illustration.

Replacing plastic sleeve
Turn the striker 180 degrees as per illustration.
Cut away the plastic sleeve (1) and replace it with the new sleeve with bigger diameter (2).
Turn the striker back into the slot, and readjust it to its old position marked on the bracket.
Close cover plate to ensure fit to body, using the button on the dashboard.
