Checking the signal for the side windows

Checking connectors and wiring








- Ignition off
- Check control module connector A. Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault
- Disconnect control module connector A.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module A2 and ground.
Test for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
If a short-circuit is found, check power window control module connector C for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Connect an ohmmeter between convertible control unit A2 and power window control module C2.
Test for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
If an open-circuit is found, check power window control module connector C for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

Note! After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Reinstall components, reconnect connectors etc.
- Speed < 4 km/h
- The trunk lid is closed
- Side windows raised
- Ignition on
- The side windows must remain in the raised position.
Activate the control switch for convertible top operation.
Operate the convertible top to run to both of its limit positions.
The side windows should work normally.

Is the operation of the side windows correct?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
