Preparations before work

Marking components
It is advisable to mark the positions of the convertible system components with a marker pen before any components are removed. This will make installation easier and provides a useful starting point when adjusting the components.
Do not use a sharp marker pen which could damage paint work.
Always wash off the markings after installation.

Side windows
All operations are usually easier if the side windows are lowered. This also prevents the side windows from being scratched or damaged.

Convertible top storage space
When working in or above the convertible top storage space, the drain holes must be sealed. This is to prevent screws etc. from being dropped in these holes. Do not forget to remove the seals after completing work.
