Emergency operation

Manually closing the convertible top
Open the trunk lid. This must be open throughout the procedure.





Open the cover over the convertible top storage space
- Install tool A in the right hole (2) and turn it counter-clockwise until it becomes hard to turn / stops
- Then turn the crank back one click.
Stopping in the first position means that the system cannot be operated electrically. The gearing for the mechanism is in "neutral".
- Install tool B in the left hole (1) and turn counter-clockwise until the cover is completely open.
This can take several minutes.





Fold up the convertible top
- Fold up the convertible top to the upper edge of the windshield by lifting the tension bow (3).




- Remove the cover (4), pull it down
- Press down the convertible top towards the upper edge of the windshield. At the same time turn tool B clockwise until the convertible top is in tight contact with the upper edge of the windshield.





Close the cover
- Install tool B in the left hole and turn clockwise until the cover no longer moves
- Install tool A in the right hole. Turn it clockwise one turn.
The cover is now locked.





Fold down the rear tension bow
- Fold down the rear tension bow and press it against the cover. At the same time, install tool B in the left hole and turn clockwise until the rear tension bow is in tight contact with the cover.
