Preparations
Raise the tension bow with button on dash as per illustration.

Inspecting the lock brace
Push the bottom end of the lock brace down by 10 mm (3/8") and release slowly. Repeat this operation several times.
The lock brace must consistently return to its original position without assistance. If not, the lock brace assembly must be replaced.
3
Replacing the lock brace
Mark the position of the lock brace assembly using a non-permanent method, e.g. tape.
Remove:
- 2 bolts.
- lock brace.
Note!
The lock braces are different left or right side, ensure the correct lock brace is installed.
Position the new lock brace according to previous marked position and secure with original bolts finger tight.
4
Adjusting lock brace
The picture shows catch with rubber lips folded away
Carefully push down the tension bow by hand slowly to check if lock brace arch enters the lock catch in the center, (see illustration).
Adjust the lock brace if necessary and re-check how brace arch enters lock catch.
After final adjustment, torque screws to 10 Nm (7 +/- 2 lbs).
Note!
The lock brace MUST enter in the center of the lock catch, otherwise damage may occur to the lock catch and/or to the cover plate.
