Tension Frame Motor Replacement


Before starting work, see CHA. Preparations Before Work. Procedures

CHE5 Removal:





- Move the hood to the position shown in the image.
- Rear side windows should be in down position while removing tension frame motor.
- Ignition off.
- Make a note of any radio code.
- Disconnect the battery negative lead.





- Remove 3 screws from strips.





Remove:
- rear side window sealing strip, C-pillar, as described in CHH5.
- 2 nuts from triangle seal located on tension frame attachment.

Fold up plastic strip and fabric where strip was located.





Remove:
- cable ties from wiring.
- connector.
- stop screw.
- brass bush.
- 3 screws from tension frame motor.

Lift and remove motor.

NOTE: Move tension frame down manually. Tension frame must be almost closed to remove motor.

CHE6 Installation:
Install in reverse order.
Install new cable ties.
