Locating Strip, Hood Frames

Before starting work, see CHA. Preparations Before Work. Procedures

CHK1 Removal:
- Remove inner fabric outer fabric as described in CHG1 - CHG14.





- Move hood to the position shown in the image.





Remove:
- 1 screw from end fitting in front cross member.
- Velcro strip from wiring.
- 2 screws attaching locating strip to each frame.
- strips attaching locating strips to tension frame.
- 2 screws from tension frame attaching locating strip.
- locating strip.

Install locating strip.

NOTE: Keep old locating strip to mark screw positions on new locating strip.

CHK2 Installation:





Mark screw positions on locating strip using old locating strip, or by using these dimensions:
A = 501,9 mm (19.760").
B = 339,5 mm (13.366").
C = 366,1 mm (14.413").
D = 263,9 mm (10.390").
E = 71,2 mm (2.803").
F = 439,0 mm (17.283").

The measurements are center-to-center with the hood unit.

Install:
- 2 screws on locating strip in tension frame and tighten strip.
- strips attaching locating strips to tension frame.
- screws attaching locating strip to frames.
- velcro strip on wiring.
- 1 screw on end fitting in front cross member.
- outer fabric, as described in CHG6 - CHG14.
- inner fabric in reverse order, as described in CHG1 - CHG5.
